BULA – TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. Nature of the Platform
BULA is a technology platform that connects licensed taxi drivers with passengers in Fiji. BULA does not own vehicles, employ drivers, or operate as a taxi company. Drivers are independent contractors and are solely responsible for compliance with all applicable laws.
2. Regulatory Compliance (LTA & FCCC)
All drivers must hold a valid Public Service Vehicle (PSV) license, a valid Taxi Permit, maintain valid insurance, and comply with FCCC regulated fare structures. BULA reserves the right to verify documentation and cooperate with regulatory authorities if required.
3. Fare Regulations
Fare estimates shown in the app are indicative only. Final fares must comply with applicable FCCC and LTA regulations.
4. Driver Subscription Model
BULA does not take commission from rides. Drivers pay a flat weekly platform subscription fee (currently FJD $7 per week) for access to ride requests. This is a technology access fee only.
5. Digital Payments & Stripe Integration
Where digital payments are enabled, BULA may use third-party processors such as Stripe. Processing fees may apply. BULA does not act as a bank and does not assume responsibility for payment of gateway failures.
6. Insurance & Liability
Drivers are responsible for maintaining valid insurance and vehicle roadworthiness. BULA shall not be liable for accidents, injuries, or damages arising from transport services.
7. Data Protection
Trip data, GPS tracking, and user information may be stored for safety and compliance purposes. Data may be shared with authorities where legally required.
8. Account Suspension
BULA reserves the right to suspend accounts for regulatory breaches, fraud, safety violations, or misconduct.
9. Governing Law
Operations in Fiji are subject to Fiji law. Corporate governance is subject to UK company law.
